We have been busy over the last year creating value for your membership by partnering with service providers, the CBSA and doing some heavy lifting behind the scenes to make staying connected a lot better.

Here are our latest partners who can save you money:

And there are more to come.

A great deal of work this year has focused on making the RA a valuable asset to the CBSA and in turn, benefiting from that relationship. We have:

  • co-developed a CBSA Retirement Course with CBSA EAP, focusing on the psychological preparation for retirement.  The first course will be co-delivered in January 2026 to CBSA employees and their spouses/partners;
  • partnered with Public Safety Canada to offer emergency management employment opportunities to our members;
  • partnered with V3X Global Solutions to offer employment opportunities on First Nations Communities to our members;
  • partnered with a volunteer Veterans initiative to recognize CBSA personnel who served in Macedonia with Peacekeeper Medals;
  • partnered with the University of Ottawa in conducting a Solo Retirement Study;
  • implemented new Strategic Partnerships with Telus, Perkopolis, and Glenn Dumontel Cartoon Art;
  • implemented a Special Edition Canada Customs - Retired Badge offering;
  • initiated the design of a Special Edition Immigration Canada - Retired Badge;
  • initiated the implementation of a CBSA RA members-only Facebook page;
  • CBSA RA participated in the Canadian Police and Peace Officer Memorial; and
  • CBSA RA participated in the CBSA President's Awards.

Lastly, CBSA RA volunteers have been working hard on the administrative side of the organization to further add value for members by:

        • maintaining our In Memoriam web page, honouring our fallen retired members;
        • providing condolence notes to families of deceased CBSA colleagues on behalf of the entire CBSA RA;
        • providing letters of congratulations to CBSA graduating recruit classes on behalf of the entire CBSA RA;
        • maintaining a bilingual CBSA RA website;
        • initiating webinars conducted by topic experts to provide valuable and relevant information to retirees;
        • implementing a Renewal Recognition Letter for all renewing CBSA RA members;
        • implementing a We Miss You Letter for all expired CBSA RA members.

    All of this work is aligned with our Mission to provide support and care for each others' physical and mental well-being; continue to foster methods, opportunities and products to create a community of shared interest; and to maintain a proud and active connection with the CBSA, our membership, and the communities in which we live.
