Roger Perrin

Roger Perrin passed away on June 18, 2026.

Roger began his career as a Canada Customs Officer, a role he took great pride in. Training and working as a customs officer sent him to several unique locations such as Iqaluit, in what is now Nunavut, and small-town Quebec, before returning home to Manitoba, first at the Emerson Border Crossing, before manning several posts throughout the City of Winnipeg. Throughout his 22-year career, he was known for his strong work ethic, which he carried with him through to the last position he held prior to retirement at the Winnipeg International Airport in the Prairie Region.

Chris Clarke

Chris Clarke passed away on June 13, 2026.

Chris retired as Director, Corporate and Program Services Division, Northern Ontario Region.  Chris remained active in his retirement, working as a board member for the National Officer Recruitment Program conducting interviews since 2018.

Glen Sonier

Glen Sonier passed away on June 12, 2026.

Glen worked for Canada Customs in Toronto in the 1980s before beginning his career with the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

David Douglas

David Douglas passed away on May 15, 2026.

Dave retired after a 30+ year career with Canada Customs, CCRA, CBSA and lastly with the CRA. He was an inspector in Crystal City,  MB, Yellowknife, NWT , and a detector dog handler based in Winnipeg  and finally a IT specialist at the time of his retirement.

John "Barry" Caswell

John "Barry" Caswell passed away on May 12, 2026.

Barry worked at the Port of Emerson Manitoba as a Superintendent for many years before transferring to Sarnia Blue Water Bridge POE. After several years in Sarnia, he chose to return to Manitoba and served at various land border Ports in the western part of Manitoba.

Kelly MacTavish Horrocks

Kelly Horrocks passed away on April 24, 2026.

Kelly dedicated her professional life to the Canada Border Services Agency. She began her career as a Student Officer while attending Western University as a Science major. Following graduation, she was invited to become a full‑time Officer, serving at both the Windsor–Detroit Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge. She completed two short‑term work placements at the Canadian Consulate in China and participated in presentations at the Canadian Embassies in Paris and Budapest. Through her dedication and leadership, Kelly advanced to the position of Investigator.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kelly’s memory to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
