With increases in forest fires, floods, tornados and other natural disasters across the country, Public Safety Canada is reaching out to the CBSA RA to take advantage of our pool of knowledgeable, skilled and experienced retirees to be part of their surge capacity team to manage the federal government’s response in times of need.

We know that many of our members have experience responding to challenging situations and would be of tremendous value to Public Safety and to your communities in an emergency.

Casual positions are available, and all training is provided. Compensation rates will match your level at retirement.

Whether you are interested in giving back to your community, or to help pay a few bills, getting involved in the Public Safety Canada’s National Surge Capacity Pilot Project may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
