Connection Counts – Let’s Reach Out and Reconnect The power of community and connection cannot be understated. At the CBSA Retirees’ Association, we understand the value of the relationships built throughout our careers and the impact they continue to have in retirement. That’s why we’re launching “Connection Counts: Reach Out and Reconnect,” a simple yet meaningful initiative to strengthen our bonds and support one another. How It Works Each week, we invite you to take a moment to reach out to a fellow retiree or former colleague. Whether it’s a quick phone call, a heartfelt email, or a friendly text, this small act of connection can make a world of difference. Memory Mondays: Revisit a cherished memory and share it with an old friend or teammate. Wellness Wednesdays: Check in on someone’s well-being and let them know you care. Thankful Thursdays: Share your gratitude with someone who inspired or supported you. Why It Matters Loneliness and isolation can affect us all, but together we can create a network of support, appreciation, and camaraderie. You never know how much a simple “How are you?” or “Thank you for everything you’ve done” can brighten someone’s day. Let’s Get Started This week, take the first step: think of one person whose day you could brighten, and reach out to them. Together, we can foster a stronger, more connected community—one conversation at a time. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful movement.
