Additionally, the CBSA RA's Standing Beside You – Survivor and Executor Support Program offers compassionate, one-on-one assistance to survivors and executors during the difficult time following the loss of a loved one. Through personalized guidance from trained volunteers, the program helps individuals understand important steps and timelines, navigate pension and benefits transitions, manage documentation requirements, connect with the right contacts and resources, and prevent issues such as overpayments when coverage or pensions must be cancelled. Complementing the Survivors and Executors Guide Manual, this service ensures that no one has to manage these complex administrative responsibilities alone.
