Paul Hurst

Paul Douglas Hurst of Ottawa, and formerly of Cambridge, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in his 60th year.

Paul was with Immigration and worked at HQ on Traveller projects. Paul worked at Pearson Int'l Airport.

Thomas C. Greig

August 9, 2020 at the Bridgepoint Care Hospital in Toronto.

Thomas was ADM in the Dept of National Revenue - Customs and Excise. He retired in 1989 in Toronto.

A private family funeral has already taken place.

Passed away on August 4th, 2020 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB.

Jerry began his 34-year career as a Canada Customs Officer in 1966 in Winnipeg, MB, wearing the uniform and carrying his badge with pride and integrity.

Norman Edward Heide

Passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020 at the age of 92.

His service to his country was something he was extremely proud of, starting with enlisting in the Navy at 15 years old, serving in the Korean War and then continuing on in Canada Customs.

Bonnie Yan

Passed away suddenly on Saturday July 11th, 2020 of natural causes at the age of 43.

Bonnie started with CBSA in 2002 at Vancouver International Airport (VIA). Most recently she had been the A/Chief of the Metro Vancouver Traffic Operations (MVTO).

David Moffat

Passed away unexpectedly On May 26, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Although born in St. Stephen NB, Dave considered himself a lifelong "Milltowner" and it was in this border community that he spent most of his working career of 31 years with Canada Border Services Agency.

Arthur Lewis

Passed away peacefully on 21 May 2020, age 81.

Arthur became a member of Revenue Canada Customs and Excise in Toronto in 1961 and was an officer at the Toronto International Airport (Pearson). Following a promotion, he was relocated to Ottawa where he stayed until his retirement as A/Director for the Intelligence Division in 1993.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in his 68th year.

Peter Sloane Worgan

Peacefully, on March 3, 2020, at age 69.

Peter was a longtime dedicated employee of Canada Border Services Agency.

A celebration of Peter's life was held on Monday, March 16th, at the Erin Mills United Church, Mississauga, ON.  Donations may be made in his memory to the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital or Recovery Canada


Charles (Chuck) Lowrie

Passed away on March 2, 2020 at the age of 75 years.

Chuck spent most of his career as a Customs Officer in Alberta.

A memorial service was held in Edmonton, AB on Sunday, March 15, 2020.  Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta at http://parkinsonassociation.ca/ and click on 'Donate’.

Cathy Shukin

Passed away on January 20, 2020 in Creston, BC, days after turning 60.

Cathy started out as a summer student at the border and then worked as an Inspector at PAC Highway, Douglas and Boundary Bay.

Passed away on January 19, 2020.

Charles worked most of his career at the Mail Centre in Vancouver.

Lillian Ann Bailey

Passed away on Saturday December 14, 2019 at age 94.

Lillian worked as a
Canada Customs inspector and was the first female inspector in all of Canada.

At Lillian's request there was a small graveside service at Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster, BC on January 4, 2020.

Passed away on December 5, 2019.

Ernie had a thirty-six-year career with Canada Customs and retired in 2004.

Francis (Frank) Cave

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019. 

He was born and raised at West Bay in West Vancouver.  He was employed with the Canada Customs organization where he retired after 30 years.

A celebration of life was held on December 7, 2019.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
